Service Eligibility
Our Financial Controller files taxes for Ontario Tech students for $30. You provide the necessary documents and information. Taxes are filed individually, and the service is exclusively for Ontario Tech students.
Filings and Returns
We typically file on the same day you provide your information. If you have a registered CRA account and direct deposit, you can expect to see your return within a couple of weeks of filing.
Deadlines
The filing deadline is April 30, but you can file as soon as you have your T4 and T2202 forms. While students likely won't owe money, we strongly recommend filing early to establish good habits for the future.

File Taxes
Our CPA will guide you through the filing process, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Documents needed to file your taxes
To file your taxes, we’ll need several pieces of information. Without them it may not be possible. Please email the following, 48 hours prior to your appointment.
- T2202 (Tuition fee statement from University)
- Social Insurance number (SIN)
- T4 and any other information slips
- If you are a tenant, your rent receipt from your landlord
- Taxpayer's first and last name as appears in CRA records
- Date of birth
- Complete address
- A void cheque from your bank
- Date of entry (for students who have moved to Canada in the last year)
- Marital status
